Well, I turned 30 everyone. Doomsday came and went, with no pictures. I didn't think to take any, and Tom doesn't believe in pictures in general...so... It was a nice day though. We went to lunch with all of my family to the California Kitchen, then to dinner with just us and the kids at Johnny Carino's. So a yummy day of no cooking, works for me!
Halloween was good, but we only had the video camera with us, so I have to have Tom help me figure out how to download those videos onto the computer, and then we will see the kids in their cute costumes with their jack-o-lantern, etc. (BUT, just in case that never happens...) Kalea was Princess Leia, (I did her hair in cinnamon buns over her ears, it was very cute and I was very proud of my skills), Jackson was superman, Kai was Po, the Kung Fu Panda complete with eye liner filled eyes and nose, and Jett was the baby standby Green Dragon. Very cute. They loved trick-or-treating. I'm just glad that stupid holiday is over and we can get on to the real ones!

It was a snowy October...our kids had 3 days of school canceled in a row! I, being a native Coloradan, NEVER had school canceled 3 days in a row, much less in October! See my tracks at the bottom of the driveway where I got stuck! Kalea being attacked by the snowdrift!
Oh no, now Tom! (I guess that was the idea of these pictures...)
Kalea and Kai started making this snowman, while Jackson was at a playdate. Kai didn't last long however, and Kalea made the whole thing by herself!

Watch out! A mountain lion!
These pictures were at the Lowell Family Farm, it was a fun outing for the kids. They got their faces painted and picked out pumpkins and decorated them, went on a hayride, and went on a nature walk. It was a welcome reprieve after being quarantined when Tom came down with the swine flu and I was sick too.

Jett's 1st birthday!
I can't believe our Jetterbug is one! Where does the time go? We had the traditional one year old luau and it was great. We went down the water slide in the morning, then all the fam and the Dickmans came over, and we had hawaiian haystacks and cake and ice cream. It was a fun day. I just love this little boy. He is our "long lashes" baby. The pediatrician said "He could be a camel with those lashes!" He has the happiest smile and he even "boogies" when he's really happy. He has a miss America wave too. He is pulling himself up on everything, his favorite is me. I love those beautiful eyes and happy smile and babbling sounds. Happy Birthday Mister Jett!
First Day of School
10th Anniversary!!
10 years!! Can you ba-lee dat? A decade. And still having fun. We found a great getaway spot near Estes Park. We stayed in this little cabin for 2 with a private hot tub. It was right by the river. We went hiking and geocaching, it was so great. This first picture is for all you SNL fans...yes, it is our VAN, DOWN BY THE RIVER!
This next one is on top of a mountain above Button Rock Dam. We literally had to scale forever upward to find the cache. We kept getting to the top of a cluster of rocks and thinking we were there, but the coordinates hardly moved. So we said, "it must be on top of those rocks," probably 10 times before we actually found it. We were so glad we did it though because the views were amazing. These pictures don't do it justice.

Summer photos
The kids caught a frog at Nana and Papa's. This is his tropical getaway bungalow.
Havin' some mac n' cheesey with the Andersons, Addie, and Brigitte.
Lovin' the bedhead chickenboy.
Coolin' off in our luxury pool!
This picture was taken to put in the display about Activity Days in the Primary Room for the Open House for our new church building that just opened. It is right around the corner from us, we love it. Kalea is sitting on our front porch holding her journal and journal jar that she made at Activity Days. Such a cutie patootie.

CALIFORNIA
Get ready for a lot of pictures....We had such a great time in California. We stayed at an awesome beach house in Santa Cruz for the first half of the trip, then visited family in San Lorenzo and San Francisco for the 2nd half. It was the best time. I even got to go for a couple runs on the beach, it was quite therapeutic because the beach is just the best place to be! Am I right? Here's the kids roasting marshmallows on the back patio of the beach house...
Best buddies Jackson and Kai
Kinda romantic huh?
The purpose of this picture was to get the Santa Cruz Harbor sign, oh well, it's a cute family picture.

Love this one of "Mutti" (Tom's mom) with Kai
I'm trying to smile through all of Jett's constant splashing...Tom couldn't resist the west side sign in our nice family hot tub photo
This was a rare happy face for Jett, he wasn't a fan of the beach so much.
Jackson and Eli bracing for the cold wave
The sand castle
I finally got him to go to sleep, we propped the stroller back and bundled him in a towel and had a few moments of serenity...
