Kai's 3rd Birthday!

Here's Kai posing with his new movie from Nana. The Kung Fu Panda sequel...he is all about it!
These are all out of order...oh well, it's late and I'm not going to change it. After the day was over, this is how the kids went to bed. They made a fort in the loft and watched movies and had popcorn and all was giggly and well.

Everybody at Kai's chosen place for his birthday lunch...McDonalds!

His Street Fighter shirt (he can name all the characters, Tom could NOT be prouder...) and his new iron man. We got Jackson a red Iron Man for his birthday, and Kai can't stop playing with it. So we got him the silver one so they can play together. He was so happy!

Posing under his "Kai is 3!" sign, noodle armed.

CHEESE please. Mother moment, here it comes...but seriously, how cute are his little hands, I wish they'd stay that size forever.

Ecstatic about the Bolt characters on his cake. (He sleeps with them, dry frosting and all..)

My baby Ocean...turning 3! We call him "Specials". He really is truly special.
Kalea...yikes
We went to Pump it Up, here's the boys getting ready to go down the big firetruck slide.

Jackson, Ty and Kai ascending...
This one was a real stomach launcher...Jackson was beside himself with anxiety...

Having a good time with the cousins. Kai is really something else. I'm so glad he made it thru his first year of life, (or I should say me, because he screamed the entire first year. Not cried...screamed.) He turned one and it was like this happy, funny, good little boy was unleashed. He honestly makes me laugh hard at least 10 times a day. He is so incredibly smart and witty, his humor amazes me at such a young age. He loves telling jokes...my family has heard some of them probably hundreds of times but we laugh sincerely every time! "Did you get your tickets?" (to what?) "To the gun show!" as he flexes his biceps! and..."Do you know where the vet is?" (no, why?) "'Cause these puppies are sick!" Again, the shaking, intense bicep flex. I love his blonde hair blowing in the wind as he jumps on the trampoline, his favorite thing in all the world. I love his beautiful blue eyes, and I LOVE hearing his footsteps coming into my room to snuggle in the morning. I love you Kai!
Birthday dinner at Red Robin...notice at the end when Kalea asks for the cherry...

Mother's Day

So I guess we weren't into taking pictures on Mother's Day, this is all I got, but it's a good one! This is my oldest brother Dane and his youngest of 5 Nataliya, and Kasey, my oldest little brother (make sense?) with his first, Cody. Jett is just thrilled to have cousins his age to play with, can't you tell? The kids and Tom made me breakfast in bed and I got to go shopping at Maurice's for my present. I won't go on forever, (but I could...) but I just love being a mommy with all my heart. Someday, I will be "mom" but right now I'm "mommy" and I love it. I love holding chubby sticky hands, I love having no room in the bed when they come in after a bad dream, I love having the magical kiss to make owies feel better, I love hearing "I love you more than a huge monster mommy," I love the laughter that rings in my home, I love all of it. I am so blessed.

Our new house

Here it is! Our beautiful new home. I will post more pictures later. You can't tell in this picture, but I have a red door, for those that know me well, I'm happy. I just scored at my neighbor's garage sale too and got some nice chairs and a topiary and some planters for our front porch. We love sitting on our porch while the kids ride bikes in the cul de sac. It has 5 bedrooms, a loft an upstairs laundry room, and even a fireplace in the master bedroom, ooh la la. Plus Tom and I have our OWN separate closets now, before we were sharing a tiny little corner that shouldn't have even been considered a closet! I just love having SPACE, a place for everything...and I even have some empty cupboards!! Can I get a what what?

Kalea's Baptism

We didn't want Meilani to leave!

Kalea with Nana and Papa and the traditional comforter Nana makes for each one of the grandkids. Hers had little girls playing sports on it, and it has her name and baptism date on it. It is so perfect for her!
(above) Kalea with Mutti (Tom's mom) receiving a mini hymn book from Mimmie and Tompa (Tom's grandparents) and her own scriptures with her name on them from Mutti and Abba.

Tom's parents, Danelle, and Meilani
(below) Our fam...minus Jett, he was asleep!

Kalea's baptism was so great. We walked into the room to get it set up and there was Auntie Danelle and Meilani, Kalea's cousin from California that's 3 months older. They didn't tell us they were coming, it was the greatest surprise! Tom's parents came too and most of my family, as well as several friends in our ward. It was a great show of support for her and us. I can't believe my Kalea is growing up so fast. We are so proud of her!
The girl cousins

Meilani gave Kalea a "bff" necklace that they both have a piece to. They are so cute together.

Easter and Birthdays

For Jackson's 6th birthday we went to lunch at Red Robin, and brought special treats to his class. Tom had to be out of town though, so he got to celebrate his birthday again that weekend with Tom and Tom's parents and Danelle and Meilani, when they came in for Kalea's baptism. His favorite gift was the Nuggets jersey from my mom and dad, he wears it almost constantly. He has a liiittle basketball obsession people. He is always wanting to watch a game or sports center and is always shooting, no kidding, constantly shooting baskets on his mini hoop in the family room. If he gets in trouble I don't let him play basketball and he just thinks he is going to die a slow death! You should have seen his face when the Nuggets lost to the Lakers for the final game, he was trying very hard to be a little man and not cry, it took a lot of effort. Jackson is my marshmallow boy. He is so GOOD and so smart and funny, he amazes me every day. I love you Jackie!

Our camera went dead after this shot, so we couldn't get anymore of Kalea's birthday, but for her 8th birthday we went to Casa Bonita. This picture is of the mariachi band singing to her, she loved it. Her and I got soaked by the cliff diver! We also went to lunch at Noodles and Company with my mom. She got the Lips game, which is pretty much like karaoke on xbox. Kalea is my little mommy, she helps the boys so much, she even calls them "honey" in the mom tone. She loves to have mommy/Kalea time to do girly things, talk, paint nails, shop, baby showers, etc. She is girly and loves sports and is feisty and sweet all at the same time, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect, beautiful daughter. Love you Kalea Bea!

Easter--the girls

Da boyz

Nice pose Kai

Dying Easter eggs...I don't know about you, but this is a tradition I could live without...anyone with me? But the kids love it...

Spring break

Here is how we spent our spring break...playing in the snow. We had the snowiest April! We had a snow day in the middle of April! It was crazy. The kids sure loved this snowman. We all thought it would be funny to give him a kiss...

...but Jackson said, "I'm just gonna shake his hand!"

Cute mister Jett

Kalea showing off her "one spot" earrings for St. Patty's Day

Ok, can I just tell you how cute little 2 yr. olds in shin guards are? Kai ate this up! Here he is carefully lining up the perfect shot...

GOAAALLLLLL!!!!

He even managed to mix in some kung fu!
